I was especially taken by this week’s devotion on Bread Broken and Restored. There is so much packed into that idea it is impossible to do more than scratch the surface. As Adam and Eve lived in the Garden of Eden cared for and fed by God they lost faith in that care and chose to believe they could better feed themselves, but Christ comes to us and says, “I am the Bread of Life.” He not only becomes the sacrifice for our sins He becomes the very source of our life., the power of God that gives us breath.
He is the Living Bread come down from heaven to live with us and in us. To heal and restore us, cause us to grow strong and healthy, to light our path and lead us, to make us holy and righteous, to transform us from the inside out. Feast on His Grace my friends, Fill your hungry souls with His Word, “for man does not live by bread alone but by every Word that comes from the mouth of God.” “Taste and see that the Lord is good and His mercies are new every morning.”
Let the love of Christ dwell in you richly that you may be continually restored in Christ.
